How to fix a corrupted vault

At times when using the vault manager a child node is added that can cause the vault server daemon to die and completely refuse to start back up. If this occurs you will usually need to completely erase all of the vault and the MySQL databases and start from scratch on your shard. There is a workaround, however, that may save your ... shard.

  1. Using your favorite MySQL Database administration program. PHP MyAdmin

  2. Locate the NodeRefs table in the Vault database.

  3. The last column in the table has the node that you accidently added.
  4. Usually the last entry in the table is the entry that you just entered to corrupt the vault, Just delete that entry.
