Age Link Swapping

This technique can be used in the Vault Manager, for example to give a player access to ages he/she can not access through normal gameplay.

Moving a player to a different neighborhood

Preparation: Before you start, write down the Age Info Node ID of the neighborhood you want to move the player to.

  1. In the Vault Manager, subscribe to the player you want to move to another neighborhood
  2. Within the Player Node, find the AgesIOwnFolder.

  3. Locate the Age Link Node that contains the Neighborhood
  4. Within the Age Link Node select the Neighborhood Age Info Node
  5. Optional step - Open the Neighborhood Age Info Node and locate the AgeOwnersFolder. Delete the Player Info Node belonging to the subscribed player (This is not required since it does not get deleted either when a player joins a hood through a relto link. This could be considered a bug. It only gets deleted for a player who creates his/her own neighborhood)

  6. Delete the Neighborhood Age Info Node within the Age Link Node
  7. Right-click the now empty Age Link Node and choose "add child node", enter the ID of the hood you want to move the player to
  8. Go to the AgeOwnersFolder of the Neighborhood you added and choose "add child node". Enter the ID of the Player Info Node belonging to the subscribed player.

An additional bonus of this method is that the player does not lose the neighborhood balcony page.

This is where it gets interesting, because you can add ages that players normally can't get invites to. You can for example add Relto ages or even the cleft! If you decide to add the cleft however, be aware that that age was never meant to be shared and as a result is somewhat buggy when accessed with multiple players.

Preparation: Before you start, write down the Age Info Node ID of the age you want to add to the private nexus links. There must be existing links in the Private section of the Nexus that the player is willing to lose.

  1. In the Vault Manager, subscribe to the player who's private links you want to edit
  2. Within the Player Node, find the AgesICanVisitFolder

  3. Locate the Age Link Node you want to swap for another one
  4. Within the Age Link Node select the Age Info Node
  5. Open the Age Info Node and locate the CanVisitFolder. Delete the Player Info Node belonging to the subscribed player (If you leave it here the player who has sent the invite keeps the share in his/her KI and will not be able to delete it)

  6. Delete the Age Info Node within the Age Link Node
  7. Right-click the now empty Age Link Node and choose "add child node", enter the ID of the age you want to add
  8. Go to the CanVisitFolder of the age you added and choose "add child node". Enter the ID of the Player Info Node belonging to the subscribed player.(NOTE) Player Info Node is one number above the players Ki# (EXAMPLE--If KI# = 24749 then PlayerInfo Node would be 24750.

Note: Every Age Link Node can have one or more Spawn Points. However the Nexus Private Links will always lead to the default Spawn Point, no matter what you put in the Spawn Point text area. So this is best left to:

Default:LinkInPointDefault:;
